FAQ

Is this the official English version of a Korean address?

Yes. K-Address uses the road-name address search service of Korea’s Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the same data behind juso.go.kr, so the English address matches the government site. Only the apartment building and unit numbers are added by K-Address, following the official style (101-dong 1203-ho).

What do I put in City and State on Amazon?

City is the district or city: Gangnam-gu for Gangnam-gu, Seoul; Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si for Bundang-gu in Seongnam. State / Province / Region is the province or metropolitan city: Seoul, Busan, Gyeonggi-do. The Amazon tab on the result shows each field with Amazon’s own labels.

How do I write an apartment building and unit number?

The official style is 101-dong 1203-ho (building 101, unit 1203). It can be shortened to 101-1203. Overseas checkout forms often use Bldg 101, Unit 1203, and you can switch between the two styles on the result. Put it in Address line 2.

Where does the postcode go?

Korean postcodes have five digits. In a one-line English address the postcode comes right before the country, and the country is always last: 110 Sejong-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul, 04524, Republic of Korea.

Can I type the address in English?

Yes. Type the road name and building number in English (e.g. Teheran-ro 152, or a full address like 58 Banpo-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul) or in Korean. You can add the unit too (Apt 1203, 101-dong 1203-ho, 10F). Building names work in Korean only (e.g. 롯데월드타워). The result shows both the official English address and the Korean (Hangul) address.

Do I need a customs code (PCCC) to receive a parcel in Korea?

Yes. Parcels shipped into Korea need the recipient’s Personal Customs Clearance Code (P followed by 12 digits). Get it on Korea Customs Service’s e-commerce customs portal, which also has an English page. Since February 2, 2026, customs checks that the name, phone number and postcode match, so use the exact five-digit postcode. If you got or updated your code on or after August 28, 2026, you also enter a one-time number that customs emails to the recipient when you press the verify button at checkout.

Do you store my address?

No. The address is only sent to the government search service to find the English version. Recent searches stay in your browser on this device and can be deleted anytime.
